Over four generations the Tilse family has built a reputation for fine produce in the Upper Hunter. Their most recent venture into viticulture has yielded further acclaim.

Omadale Brook Estate has been in the family for almost a century and capitalises on the permanent water race from the Barrington Tops.

With arguably the purest mountain stream water in the Hunter Valley tending their grapes of cabernet  shiraz and merlot, they are producing beautiful wines.

The serendipity of an Apple Wine in their range is quickly gaining popularity and even the apples are grown on the Omadale Brook Estate.

The vineyard is at an altitude of 460 meters above sea level and allows a later harvest.

The grapes can remain on the vines for an additional five to six weeks, intensifying both the flavour and the colour of the red wines.

While they are being enticed to expand their operation, the vineyard is still a boutique enterprise and is a wonderful find for wine lovers looking for something unique.
